The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), NAWIC’s South Atlantic Region, and NAWIC Chapter #113 (sponsoring chapter located in Columbia, SC) is proud to announce the newest chapter to join the organization: Palmetto Chapter of SC #385.
The group of 42 new chapter members from the tri-county area of South Carolina (Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester) met on July 26, 2018, at Charleston Electrical Contractors Association for their organizational meeting. The new members selected the official name of the chapter, adopted the national bylaws and standing rules, and set forth the recurring monthly general membership meeting (last Tuesday of the month) and board meeting (second Tuesday of the month. During this official meeting, the group also elected the following Officers and Board of Directors:

President-Elect: Dannielle Minetti, Cullum
Vice-President: Sharon Benzenberg, Knights Companies
Recording Secretary: Amanda Redick, Banks Construction Company
Corresponding Secretary: Marie Myers, Johnson Controls
Treasurer: Janice Toporek, Metro Electric Co.
Board of Directors: Mendi Arnold, Cullum; Candice Barnhart, BR’s Clearing & Grading; and Mary Beth Cline, S&ME
The formal chartering ceremony will take place on August 28, 2018, when the NAWIC Palmetto Chapter of SC will officially join the South Atlantic Region. (location and time to be announced at a later date)
