NAWIC Chapter #113 welcomes our newest member, Lori Hardaway, Territory Manager for HardHat Workforce Solutions, LLC. Lori previously worked as a Sales Representative for Tradesmen International and owned and operated a restaurant 10 years prior to that.
Lori is the mother of an adult daughter, Elizabeth and is married to Paul Hardaway.

Laurin launched her career in the construction industry when she started working for her brother 4 years ago helping to establish a roofing/insurance restoration business, Joye Roofing. Laurin interacts with the clients, insurance and sub-contractors. Laurin received a Bachelor of Science from USC.
Laurin has been married for 24 years and has 3 daughters, ages 27, 22 and 11.

NAWIC Chapter #113 welcomes Bill McCrary as the keynote speaker for the August 1, 2017, member meeting to be held at Mashburn Construction, 1820 Sumter Street, Columbia, SC, 29201.
Bill founded Strategic Partner in 1997 after a 20-year corporate career with Fortune 500 companies Georgia-Pacific and Wyeth Labs. Bill is an internationally known speaker haven spoken at destinations as distant as Dubai. He is also a Vistage International speaker.

NAWIC Columbia, SC, has been steadily increasing the number of members during the 2016-2017 fiscal year. The 75th member, along with several other new members, were inducted on Tuesday June 6, 2017, at the membership meeting held at Mashburn Construction at 6:00pm.

Nichole Kopenhaver, McCrory Construction, was selected as the 2017 Member of the Year for the South Atlantic Region. Kopenhaver was honored at the 2017 Spring Forum Gala held at the Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort and Spa at Grande Dunes, Myrtle Beach, SC, on April 22, 2017.
“I am amazed by the women in NAWIC!” said Kopenhaver of fellow members. “NAWIC ladies are the best, South Atlantic Region is awesome, and Columbia SC Chapter SC rocks!!!! I am proud to take home South Atlantic Region Member of the Year and Star Recruiter Awards.”
Qualifications for the NAWIC Member of the Year are that the candidate must be a member in good standing of the South Atlantic Region. She should also be chosen for her accomplishments and contributions to the Chapter during the current NAWIC year.

NAWIC Chapter #113 is selling Luminary bags for Relay For Life event that is scheduled to take place on May 19, 2017, at 6:00pm, at Lexington High School, 2463 Augusta Hwy, Lexington, SC.
The Luminary bags will be decorated and include the name of the person that is being honored. Requested donation is $10 per bag (cash or a check made out to American Cancer Society).
